Bio: McEvoy might not be as big of a name to casual poker fans, but the 1983 WSOP Main Event champion has four career bracelets. Beginning his working career as an Accountant he grew bored with the profession and turned to poker. He has had some recent success as well winning the Champions Invitational at the 2009 WSOP.
Away from the felt McEvoy is a noted poker author, writing books for Two Plus Two Publishing. His book Championship Satellite Strategy co-authored by fellow WSOP Main Event champion Brad Daugherty is still the top book ever published on the subject.
Playing Style: McEvoy has a tight passive style when compared to today’s tournament professionals.
