TonyBet Poker Review

TonyBet Poker is an independent poker room offering all versions of Chinese Poker, including the popular versions of Open Face Chinese Poker and Open Face Pineapple Chinese Poker. TonyBet Poker is the first online room to offer Open Face Chinese Poker.

Currently Chinese Poker and all if its variants are the only poker games you can play.

Software

TonyBet Poker is available for Mac and Windows computers along with Apple and Android powered mobile devices.

The software allows you to quickly find the version of Chinese Poker you want to play.  Once you log into the game client, there are 3 buttons to find the type of game you are looking for including:

• Cash Games
• Sit & Go’s
• Tournaments

You can further narrow down the type of game you want with dropdown menu filters.

Graphics for the table appear basic, but you have the option to change:

• Deck Color
• Card Colors (including 4-color cards)
• Table Color (using sliders)

You are also allowed to tile and cascade tables, just like you would be able to at a regular online poker site.

Payouts

TonyBet Poker offers a number of different payout options including Skrill and Neteller. All withdrawals are handed manually, but TonyBet Poker processes them within 48 hours.

Traffic

TonyBet Poker has a peak traffic count of around 200 cash game players. Although this might not seem like a lot, keep in mind that Open Face Chinese Poker is played 3-handed, so there would be upwards of 100 tables going during peak times.

Sit & Go and MTT traffic is a bit sporadic at the moment. Your best bet is to play cash games, although more tournaments are being offered each day.

Rake

TonyBet Poker offers a maximum rake of 1%. The smaller stakes tables offer rake even less than 1%.

Rake is charged per point won and not on a per hand basis like you would find in normal poker games. For example, if you win 10 points in a hand on a €5 / point table, total rake paid would be €0.50.

Rakeback

TonyBet Poker does not currently offer a rakeback program since the rake is already at 1%. Once the software is out of beta testing, a VIP rakeback program is expected to be implemented. If you open an account now, you will be eligible for the VIP rakeback program once it begins.

Promotions

TonyBet Poker offers a number of freeroll tournaments and Sit & Go’s each day. They can be found by clicking Tournaments–>Types–>Freerolls or Sit&Go–>Buy-In–>Freeroll in the game client.

Casino & Sportsbook

TonyBet also offers a full casino and sportsbook to their players. Being able to use your balance in the casino is guaranteed to have some fish occasionally wander in the games looking to “gamble it up”.
