There are a few quick things you should know about the Americas Cardroom tournament schedule:
- All of these events are no-limit hold’em unless otherwise specified.
- The knockout tournaments put up an extra bounty that’s paid to the player who knocks you out of the event regardless of where that player places.
- The turbo megastack tournaments play slowly at first, but once the blind levels catch up, the play becomes extremely fast because of escalating blind levels.
Americas Cardroom Freerolls
The “Freerolls on Demand” system for Americas Cardroom gives players chances to win without having to risk anything all around the clock.
These games basically work as a multi-table sit-and-go tournament that hosts 270 players at a time.
What makes the Americas Cardroom freerolls so special is that they have a leaderboard for these “Freerolls on Demand” that give players even more free entries into other paid tournaments.
To top it all off, the first place winner in each month’s freeroll leaderboard gets a free seat into their Sunday $215 event. This means you could turn freerolls into thousands of dollars in a very direct way.
Winning Millions
The Winning Millions tournament happens once or twice each year at Americas Cardroom, and it’s not on a regular schedule.
The basic idea is to offer players a chance to get in on a major prize pool that’s similar to the big Sunday majors that used to run during the poker boom. The entry fee is typically $540.
A ton of hype surrounds the Winning Millions tournament each time it’s held. Several hundred satellites, many of which have guaranteed numbers of seats that will be awarded, so players have tons of chances to get in for a discounted price.
