CoinPoker’s Tomas Ribeiro Placed 5th In the Triton Poker $100,000 PLO Main Event

He finished a game with Masashi Oya and Seth Davis to win a table, then took on Danny Tang to move to the next level. However, in a round against Christopher Frank, the pro lost, but ended up placing 5th, with a whopping $635,000 in winnings. The players bumped fists, with a friendly banter about seeing each other in the upcoming tournaments.

The championship was taken by Christopher Frank, to whom Tomas had lost a game. When asked about the game and his take on the tournament, Christopher said, “Sometimes you’re a nit, and sometimes you ball, man!” This was his first-ever final table and his second-ever Triton Festival, where he played the 6th event.

With many more tournaments to commence soon, the air within the poker community has been rather exciting, with sponsorships for good players coming in abundance.
