But in the end it was the more old-school legends of Texas Hold’em, Ivey and Antonius – both now aged over 40 – who made it to the final round.

Some World Poker Tour tournaments are held online as of late and the final table for this event was broadcast on the WPT Youtube channel.

Phil Ivey Wins WPT HU Championship

After a close fought best of five Phil Ivey took down the title, cementing his reputation as the best all round poker player in the world. Deadspin recently declared he is still the GOAT.

Ivey turned 44 this year and has plans to compete in the 2021 World Series of Poker. In his spare time he can be found playing golf in Las Vegas.

Finland’s Gambling Legend in 2nd Place

Making it to second place Patrick Antonius proved he is still one of the top poker players out there. At 1 hour 15 minutes into the video the Finnish phenomenon gives an interview saying he may be down to Phil lifetime but it’s close.
