ANZPL

The PokerStars Australia and New Zealand Poker League is a series of daily low buy-in tournaments that award special league points to top finishers in addition to regular cash prizes. At the end of each month, PokerStars awards cash prizes to the top 100 points earners in each of three separate divisions.

Each of the ANZPL divisions has its own daily tournament, open exclusively to residents of Australia and New Zealand. Here are the details for each:

You can check the rankings for each of the three divisions online at PokerStars. At the end of the month, PokerStars gives $300, $100, and $40 to the winners of divisions 1, 2, and 3, respectively. In total, almost $4,000 is given away each month.

ANZPL Strategy

Since the ANZPL tournaments run at almost the exact same time as each other every day, you can maximize your chances to win by playing all three at once. There’s no stipulation that you can’t win cash in more than one of the divisions, so aim high and try to finish in the top 100 of all three. Try to make it to final table in each tournament, since that’s where the league points are most heavily concentrated.
