Satellites, Steps and Freeroll Qualifiers Go Live For CoinPoker’s ‘The One’ $5M GTD

Satellites and freerolls for The One, CoinPoker’s $250 buy-in tournament with a $5,000,000 guarantee and $1,000,000 guaranteed for first place, began on September 29th. Players can qualify through freerolls, step satellites from free or $0.20 buy-ins, and direct satellites from $1 to $50, ahead of 26 Day 1 flights running October 4th to 12th.

Satellites Open the Path to The One

CoinPoker has opened qualifying for The One, its $5,000,000 guaranteed tournament with $1,000,000 guaranteed for the winner.

Satellites and freerolls are now running daily on CoinPoker through to the final Day 1 flights on October 12th.

Players will be able enter The One completely free through step satellites, or win a ticket in direct satellites starting at $1.

Following CoinPoker’s last series, the Global Online Poker Championship, which exceeded the guaranteed $50M by over $38 million, The One now becomes the headline event on the platform’s schedule.

The winner of this first annual edition receives $1,000,000, an engraved trophy, and a digital trophy for their Trophy Cabinet.

The One carries a $250 direct buy-in, but the satellite schedule gives players plenty of lower-cost routes into a Day 1 seat, ranging from free entry up to $50.

Direct Satellites From $1 to $50 (Starting October 4th)

Direct satellites award a seat in a Day 1 flight of The One and run at several buy-in levels: $1, $12.50, $25, and $50.

Getting a $250 ticket into a $5,000,000 guaranteed event represents incredible value. In theory, a player could win the $1,000,000 first-place prize from a $1 investment.

Direct satellites will be listed in the CoinPoker lobby from October 4th and run through to October 12th, the final day of Day 1 play.

Hundreds of seats into The One will be awarded every day, increasing as Day 2 approaches.

Step Satellites Starting at $0.20 or Freerolls (Running Now)

Step satellites feed into the direct satellites, allowing players to move up through the price points in stages. Step buy-ins start at freerolls and $0.20, and different steps run each day across the qualifying period.

A player who wins a step satellite receives entry into a higher step or a direct satellite.

Below are the different types of step satellites related to The One:

Tournament Name Buy-In (Range) Players Win Seats Guaranteed (Range)
Step [2] to $250 THE ONE – DAY 1 Free to $5 Seat in direct The One satellite 15 to 200 seats to direct satellite
Step [3] to $250 THE ONE – DAY 1 $0.20 to $0.50 Seat in Step [2] The One satellite 30 to 125 seats to Step [2]
Step [4] to $250 THE ONE – DAY 1 Free Seat in Step [3] The One satellite 60 to 200 seats to Step [3]

Freerolls Offer a No-Cost Route (Running Now)

Freerolls for The One cost nothing to enter and feed into the step satellite system.

The fastest free route to The One comes from special Step [2] freerolls. These run daily, and send winners into a direct satellite. In two tournaments, with no buy-in, players could make it into the $5,000,000 GTD event.

Aside from these special freerolls, players can progress from a freeroll to a step satellite, then to a direct satellite, and into a Day 1 flight without making a cash buy-in at any stage.

Up to 10 Step [4] freerolls run each day from September 29th until October 12th, so players have plenty of opportunities to work towards The One tickets before Day 2 begins.

26 Day 1 Flights With Buy-In Refunds for Day 2 Qualifiers

From October 4th to 11th, three Day 1 flights run daily at 13:30, 16:30, and 19:30 UTC. Two turbo flights at 12:30 and 14:00 UTC on October 12th precede Day 2 later that day.

Players can enter multiple Day 1 flights, with only their largest stack advancing.

All players who reach Day 2 get the buy-in paid for that flight back in cash, and can keep entering flights after qualifying. Any qualifying stacks beyond their largest are cashed out at the Day 2 minimum prize.
