“The One” smashes the $5M Guarantee prize pool and makes “TonyTheToenailcollector” the millionaire!
The first edition of “The One” – the tournament with the largest prize pool in the history of the online poker room CoinPoker – is now in the books. Not only was the guaranteed $5 million prize pool exceeded by 24,074 entries,18,730 of which were unique players, but the live-streamed action on the final day also lived up to expectations in the battle for the $1,000,000 top prize. In the end, the day’s dominant player deservedly became a poker millionaire, whilst many satellite winners finished in the top spots, turning small buy-ins into six-figure payouts.

The One – $250 buy-in, $5M guaranteed, $1,000,000 for the winner
When CoinPoker announced the details of “The One“, quite a few players assumed it was a misprint or an April Fool’s joke. After all, the crypto poker room had never before seen a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000,000, and with a guaranteed winner’s prize of $1 million and a $250 buy-in, numerous mid-rollers were left asking themselves, ‘Who wants to be a millionaire?’. Through a number of satellites with buy-ins of $1, $12.50, $25 and $50 – and even freerolls – low rollers and players without a bankroll were also able to take part in this historic online poker spectacle. From 4 to 11 October, three flights took place every day, and the last two turbo flights started on Monday. In total, there were 26 Day 1 opportunities to make it through to Day 2.
No overlay – instead, a $5.53 million prize pool!
Anyone who had expected the ambitious guarantee not to be met was proved wrong. 24,074 entries generated a prize pool of $5.53 million, exceeding the guarantee by more than half a million. The top 2,362 players were guaranteed at least $575 from the prize pool. The top 20 were each guaranteed $19,250, whilst from the 7-handed final table onwards, the prize was a life-changing $77,500 at minimum. The runner-up stood to win $500,000 and, with no deal option, “the one“ million was on offer for first place – but there was one player in particular who certainly wouldn’t have considered a deal on Monday.
10 Satellite Qualifiers in the Top 63

No fewer than 10 satellite qualifiers made it into the top 63! For a long time, “Tiniesta1994“ provided the biggest sensation as chip leader, having qualified for the million-dollar event via the smallest satellite step with a buy-in of just $1, or rather via the preceding centrolls. In the end, he finished in 15th place, turning his $1 into a whopping $19,250. – Two other qualifiers, “Bufunfa” (winner of a $25 satellite) and “rakentenbauer” (winner of a $50 satellite), also made it to the final table:
| Sat Buy-In | Player | THE ONE Rank | Payout |
| $25 | Bufunfa | FINAL TABLE | FINAL TABLE |
| $50 | raketenbauer | FINAL TABLE | FINAL TABLE |
| $25 | StartedFromTheBottom | 8 | $54,000 |
| $1 | Tiniesta1994 | 15 | $19,250 |
| $50 | PonziHodler | 23 | $14,072 |
| $5 | SeemsReasonable | 29 | $10,350 |
| $2.50 | kanu88 | 44 | $5,745 |
| $50 | FinalBarrel | 46 | $5,745 |
| $1 | fishbrosTV | 56 | $2,805 |
| $25 | Pipsis | 63 | $4,398 |
Cinderella stories at the final table! The FT chip counts and CoinPoker lifetime winnings:
The final table’s bubble boy was the satellite qualifier “StartedFromTheBottom“, who made it from the $25 qualifier bottom all the way up to $54,000. Several players known for their GOPC successes made it to CoinPoker’s typical 7-handed final table and secured at least $77,500. However, there were no high rollers or consistent winners to speak of, even though the FT’s monster chip leader, “TonyTheToenailcollector”, was also the most successful player on CoinPoker with over $400k in lifetime winnings. In contrast, “SeniorTalez”, with just $281 in tracked cashes, was set to write a true ‘from-zero-to-hero’ story:

| Chipcount | Player | CoinPoker Lifetime Winnings |
| 1.11B | TonyTheToenailcollector | $401,161 |
| 440.82M | VivaLasVegans | $133,212 |
| 423.84M | Bufunfa | $9,402 |
| 415.87M | SeniorTalez | $281 |
| 303.25M | zoru99 | $23,874 |
| 236.38M | billy1913 | $68,057 |
| 63.6M | raketenbauer | $31,753 |
Crazy payouts make for crazy action at the FT!
The action at the final table left nothing to be desired. “raketenbauer“, who started the FT as the short stack, first won his all-in with pocket 88 against 3(!) callers. He then showed that he didn’t need to build pocket rockets to double up again. He managed this with J8s and a flush draw on the flop against chip leader Tony’s AKo.

In contrast, “billy1913” had to bury his dream of a million with KK when “Bufunfa” hit an ace after going all-in pre-flop with big slick in his hole cards. 7th place earned “billy1913” $77,500.

By the time the game was six-handed, “TonyTheToenailcollector”’s chip lead had grown even further. The chip leader, who had a VPIP of nearly 100 per cent and was 3-betting virtually every hand, held more than five times the chips of his nearest rival and a total of two-thirds of all the chips. – “raketenbauer”’s rocket-like start to the final table came to a crash landing shortly afterwards when he lost with AQo against “zoru99”’s 88; he then went auto-all-in with a fraction of a blind and was eventually eliminated from the tournament in 6th place with $112,500. Not bad for a $50 satellite buy-in!

Fairy Tale of “SeniorTalez” ends with 5 players left!
This was noticed in the commentary booth at 01:59:55 – https://t.co/tNNQZn8zj0
‘It could be a reg that’s been drawn in by this fantastic event’ – Lecomsi remarked. ‘Well they’ve been on the site over 90 days’ – Big Li noted, pulling up his stats on screen.
Railbirds on X also spotted that while he played most of the event on a PC, at one point during the final two tables he had to switch to a mobile device!
This suggests SeniorTalez is a recreational player and something unexpected came up while playing for six figure pay jumps, causing him to need to play on his phone. What a moment that must have been, running deeper than expected – approximately eight hours into the event – and running into technical issues with $1 million on the line.
His career earnings will now total $162,281, if you spot him in a tournament with you!

With five players remaining, everyone except the runaway chip leader Tony was in the push-or-fold mode. The toenail collector could afford to force his opponents to make the decision that would determine their tournament fate, and he easily coped with first doubling up “VivaLasVegans“, who held QQ, with JTs – and then also “SeniorTalez“, who had pushed with K9o, holding AQo. Shortly afterwards, “SeniorTalez”’s poker fairy tale was to come to an end when he lost with A8o against chip leader Tony’s KTo. However, the $160,000 for 5th place far eclipsed his previous winnings of $281.

In the Battle of the Blinds, “VivaLasVegans” came off second best against “zoru99” with 97o, as the latter woke up with the dominant A7o behind him. The vegan’s last chips then went to “TonyTheToenailcollector” with A4o. The latter’s dominated Q4 hand was enough for him to hit the queen on the river after a pre-flop all-in and call. Fourth place earned “VivaLasVegans” $225,000.

With three players remaining, it was a clash between the two short stacks that heralded the heads-up stage. In a classic coin flip, “zoru99” busted “Bufunfa”’s pocket jacks with Big Slick. “Bufunfa”, who had started with a $25 satellite buy-in, ended up turning it into an incredible $325,000 for third place on the podium.

On Monday, “TonyTheToenailcollector” will be collecting the million instead of toenails!
With this chip boost, “zoru99” went into the final showdown with 585.63M against “TonyTheToenailcollector”’s 2.4B. Both had half a million already in their bags! In the heads-up, the same amount was once again at stake. This crazy pay jump was set to award one of them “The ONE Million” – a deal was not permitted in the battle for the eponymous, once-in-a-lifetime chance to win a million. Although the short-stacked “zoru99” managed to build his stack up to 800k against the overwhelmingly dominant table captain with his peculiar passion for collecting, after losing a few post-flop pots he eventually went all-in pre-flop with pocket 9s against the final table protagonist’s pocket 7s. The latter had the luck of the brave and hit his set with a 7 on the board. This sealed “zoru99”’s fate as runner-up, with a payout of $500,000.

Meanwhile, “TonyTheToenailcollector” crowned himself as the inaugural champion of “The One”. As well as the massive $1,000,000, the iconic trophy from this extraordinary tournament is on its way to him in physical form, whilst the virtual version will be on permanent display in the CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet on his profile.

Tony’s dream day continued as CoinMasters’ runner-up!
For most players, winning a trophy in one of CoinPoker’s absolute major tournaments will remain an extraordinary, perhaps even once-in-a-lifetime achievement – but definitely not for “TonyTheToenailcollector”. Had “The One” not been a two-day tournament, the highlight of the day on CoinPoker would have been the $109 DOGE CoinMasters! The new millionaire was in action here too and was on an absolute heater. He left 1,145 of the 1,147 entries in his wake before finding himself as the clear chip leader in the heads-up against “Flyn12”.

However, in the battle for the coveted silver coin for the CoinMasters collection and the $26,641 winner’s prize, Tony suffered a setback. In the end, on what was arguably the best poker day of his life, he ‘only’ finished in 2nd place in CoinMasters and received a payout of $19,024. The title and trophy went to ‘Flyn12’!

Yet even after these two deep runs, both of which ended in heads-up matches, the high-flyer showed no signs of ending his grind session on CoinPoker, instead moving on to multi-table play in the NL5000 cash games at blinds of $25/$50!
