Promising Launch Day For First Legal U.S. Poker Site
By James Spillane, Rakeback.com Staff Writer
April 30th – Ultimate Poker launches, making front page news. The new room offers legal online poker in the United States. Over 21s anywhere in the world can register an account but must physically be in the state of Nevada to play, subject to phone verification.
Ultimate Poker has no relation to Ultimate Bet. Parent company Fertitta Interactive LLC’s global entertainment brand includes the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Launch Day
Over the first 24 hours PokerScout logged player traffic as peaking at 136 players, including a dozen tables of 100nl. Ultimate Poker uses the little-known CyberArts software platform, acquired by Fertitta in 2011. A software update is expected soon in response to constructive criticism from players.
The Ultimate Poker 2+2 thread already has over 1,000 posts and an official support rep.
This day has been a long time coming. Online poker in the United States is finally here and totally legit – Antonio Esfandiari
