YOLOF vs DogeCoinMaximalist: $500/$1000 5-Card PLO with Poker Legend TehPwnerer

Two of poker’s most entertaining personalities, TehPwnerer and Bobby James, recently took a closer look at a high-stakes clash between ‘Yolof1’ and ‘DogeCoinMaximalist’, breaking down the action and sharing their thoughts on some of the biggest decisions from the match.
TehPwnerer is a well-known high-stakes poker player, bringing plenty of experience from the tables to the analysis.
Alongside him is Bobby James, another respected poker player and content creator, who offers his own unique perspective on the strategy, mistakes and big moments throughout the session.
The pair dissect the action in $500/$1,000 five-card PLO, a format where huge pots can develop quickly and the variance can be especially brutal.
Yolof1 has made significant improvements to his game lately, while the matchup with DogeCoinMaximalist, one of the best 5-card PLO players in the world, provided plenty of high-pressure spots for the two analysts to debate.
Among the most eye-catching was a $500,000 pot. And when hundreds of thousands of dollars are on the line every decision matters. Here’s how the hand played out.
The $500,000 Pot
With $230,000 effective stacks, Yolof1 raised to $3,000 preflop and DogeCoinMaximalist called.
The flop came 8♣2♣6♦, and DogeCoinMaximalist checked. Yolof1 made a 75% pot bet of $4,800 and DogeCoinMaximalist check-raised to $16,800.
Yolof1 three-bet to $56,800 and DogeCoinMaximalist four-bet to $176,800. Yolof1 went all-in for $227,368 and DogeCoinMaximalist called.
The board ran out 8♣2♣6♦4♦7♦. DogeCoinMaximalist showed 3♣10♥7♣6♣6♥ for a set of sixes. The players ran it twice though and Yolof1 managed to win on the second runout despite only having 25% equity.
Hand Analysis
This hand escalated quickly into a massive confrontation on a relatively connected flop.
DogeCoinMaximalist’s check-raise represented significant strength, but Yolof1 responded aggressively with a three-bet, only for his opponent to four-bet to $176,800.
Yolof1’s decision to commit the remainder of his stack suggests he was confident in the strength and equity of his hand.
When it came to the showdown however, Yolof1 had less than 32% equity. DogeCoinMaximalist called with a set of sixes, making him a strong favourite to win the hand.
He did win the first runout but with the players running the board twice, Yolof1 managed to win the second runout despite holding just 25% equity. It was a remarkable result in a pot worth around $500,000.
Looking back at the hand, Yolof1 should have simply called instead of three-betting. However, because the players ran it twice he luckily came away with half the pot.
